    Join us for a fun year-end recap before meetings pause until next year. This meeting can count toward next year, giving you a one-meeting buffer. Bring a treat to share and any feedback or ideas for how we can improve next year.

March 2027

  1. Deadline

    Signed NCJL Terms & Agreement due to club leader

    Mon, Mar 15.

    Club leaders must turn in every exhibitor's signed Terms & Agreement to the NCJLC secretary by March 15, or the animal cannot be tagged. Get yours to the club leader before this date.

April 2027

    Steers must be in your possession by this date. Tagging is coordinated by the beef superintendent around this time.

    Fair check-in & weigh-in

    Tue, Sep 14. 5:00–9:00 PM · Navajo County Fairgrounds, Holbrook

    Animals may be penned after 1 PM. Unofficial scale 3–5 PM. Weigh-in: steers 5–6, lambs/goats/turkeys 6–7, swine 7–8. Mandatory exhibitor meeting 6:45 PM at the sale ring bleachers. Bring your Seasonal Pass and YQCA certificate!

    Fair Day 2: Open class shows & market turkey

    Wed, Sep 15. Noon lunch · 3:00 PM open class · 6:00 PM turkeys · Navajo County Fairgrounds, Holbrook

    Cal Ranch hosts lunch for all livestock kids at noon by the sale ring. Open class judging 3–5 PM. Jr. Livestock market turkey judging and showmanship at 6 PM.

    Thu, Sep 16. Goats 8 AM · Lambs 10 AM · Beef 1 PM · Swine 4 PM · Navajo County Fairgrounds, Holbrook

    Market judging for each species, each followed by Junior & Senior showmanship. Dress code applies!

    Fair Day 4: Round Robin & the Jr. Livestock SALE

    Fri, Sep 17. Round Robin 9 AM · Buyer luncheon 11 AM · Sale 1 PM · Sale Ring, Navajo County Fairgrounds

    Bring your family's drink contribution for the buyer luncheon by 11:30 AM (A–L: case of 24 waters; M–Z: 12-pack of soda). Invite your buyers!

    Fair Day 5: 4-H Skill-a-thon & record book pickup

    Skill-a-thon at the show ring. All 4-H record books are available for pickup at the command trailer. Take locks off pens tonight.

  7. Fair

    Fair Day 6: Pen clean-out & check-out

    Sun, Sep 19. 8:00–10:00 AM (no earlier than 8) · Navajo County Fairgrounds, Holbrook

    Clean pens, pick up equipment and feed, and check out with your species superintendent. $100 fine for stalls left uncleaned.
